SECRETARY SCHULZ TO RUN FOR GOVERNOR; RUTHERFORD OPTS OUT

Maryland Commerce Secretary Kelly Schulz has announced she will be candidate for Governor in the next election. In a Facebook post, Secretary Schulz noted the resilience and perseverance of Maryland residents. One of her priorities is restoring and strengthening the economy. Her statement concluded that she hopes to earn the trust and support of Marylanders, so she can continue to make Maryland the best place to live, work, and raise a family. In a related story, Lieutenant Governor Boyd Rutherford has decided not to run for Governor next year. In a statement, the Lieutenant Governor noted that it has been a great honor and joy to serve with Governor Larry Hogan to improve the health, safety, and quality of life for the people of the state of Maryland. Rutherford is looking forward to what can be accomplished during the remaining time of the Hogan Administration.
