Fourteen county school districts are planning to stick with the four-day school week calendar through the end of the school year. The state Board of Education granted the approval to those districts remaining on the shortened weeks. Several board members said that with only six weeks remaining in the year, to make a change back to the traditional five days a week would “throw a monkey in the works.”
