A Hagerstown man was arrested on Friday afternoon after police were called to the 900-block of Holland Street for a disturbance. A caller told police they saw 19-year-old Calvin Xavier Salgado of Hagerstown carrying a handgun in the area. A high-risk stop was conducted in the 400-block of Columbia Street, and a loaded handgun was fond. Salgado had been prohibited from possessing firearms. He was charged with having a loaded handgun, a minor in possession of a firearm, and having a dangerous weapon on school property. He received a District Court hearing and was ordered held at the Allegany County Detention Center on $5,000 bond.
