MARYLAND TO RECEIVE OVER $4 MILLION IN VARIANT AID

Maryland is receiving more than four-point-two-million dollars to fight the spread of COVID-19 variants.  The funding from the federal government is part of a one-point-seven-billion-dollar investment from the American Rescue Plan stimulus package.  The White House says this is just the initial round of funding and more money will arrive over the next several years.  According to the CDC, Maryland has confirmed over 700 variant COVID cases.
