OAKLAND MAN PLEADS GUILTY, AWAITS SENTENCING

Oakland resident Adam Jeremy Spaulding has pleaded guilty assault and resisting arrest charges, and now awaits his sentence. Spaulding was arrested last July, following an incident at a local business. He drove away from the scene, and nearly struck an officer. There was a high-speed chase, which ended in the Sheetz store lot, where he hit another vehicle. He tried to flee on foot, and resisted arrest. The maximum possible sentences for the crimes total 33 years. There is also a pending hearing for Spaulding, for violating probation in two cases.
