An investigation is underway after a three-alarm fire broke out at the Domino Sugar plant along the South Baltimore waterfront. Firefighters arrived around 3 p.m. yesterday, to find heavy fire and smoke shooting through the roof of the 99-year-old building. Investigators believe the fire originated around a silo that collapsed and burning material made its way onto a conveyor belt and traveled through the building. Workers were able to escape safely and no injuries were reported.
