Cumberland resident Shirley “Sue” Peskin passed away Monday at UPMC-Western Maryland at the age of 92. She was the widow of Morton W. “Sonny” Peskin, and together, they operated Peskin’s in downtown Cumberland. She is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The funeral service, set for Friday at 11 a.m., will be live-streamed and recorded through the Scarpelli Funeral Home website. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cumberland Theatre, Interfaith Food Pantry, or the Allegany County Animal Shelter.
