HOGAN PLEASED BY INCREASE OF INCREASE IN WORKER VISAS

Governor Larry Hogan says he’s pleased that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has announced an increase of 22-thousand visas for the H-2B Temporary Non-Agricultural Worker program. Hogan says those visas are critical to keeping Maryland seafood processors open for business.  Earlier this year Maryland Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen joined with Virginia Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine in calling on DHS to increase the number of visas to ensure that seafood processors would have the seasonal workforce they need.
