MODERNA VACCINE COMPROMISED AT FORT MEADE

Eight-hundred doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine are being found to have been improperly handled at Fort Meade.  This was discovered on April 12th at the Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center.  The vials of the vaccine were improperly handled outside of the manufacturer’s temperature guidance. Vaccinations of these doses were administrated to people on April 7th and April 13th at the McGil Training Center in Fort Meade.  Moderna determined that the vaccines given will not harm the recipient but they are unsure if the doses provided will protect them from the virus.
