MARYLAND RECORDS JUST OVER 1100 NEW COVID CASES

Maryland has recorded just over 11-hundred new cases of COVID-19 bringing the number of confirmed cases to nearly 441-thousand since the start of the pandemic. There have been 8 additional fatalities related to the virus, for a death toll of more than 84-hundred. The Maryland Department of Health says there are nearly 11-hundred-88 patients in the hospital and 289 are in intensive care. The seven-day positivity rate is 5-point-1-percent.  The state has administered more than 4-point-2-million doses of the coronavirus vaccine and more than 1-point-7-million residents are fully vaccinated.
