Opening statements will take place today in the trial of Berkeley Springs resident Andy McCauley, who is accused of killing Morgan County teen Riley Crossman. McCauley, the boyfriend of Crossman’s mother, allegedly killed the teen two years ago next month. She was reported missing on May 8, 2019; her body was found eight days later in a secluded area near Martinsburg. Drywall mud found on her body matched that in McCauley’s work truck. Jury selection took place earlier this month.
