BALTIMORE LOSES IN LATEST CENSUS

The latest figures from the U.S. Census shows that Baltimore saw a decline in population over the last decade. The Census shows that Baltimore lost more than 27-thousand residents in the last ten years for a total of more than 593-thousand residents. Each of Baltimore’s surrounding counties reported an increase in population with the largest jump occurring in Howard County. Overall, Maryland’s population increased since the last Census by almost seven percent to more than 6.1-million residents.
