Maryland U.S. Senator and a group of colleagues have introduced a bipartisan bill to upgrade schools and public buildings. Cardin says upgrading schools and public buildings with an eye towards safety, health and environmental sustainability benefits the economy, productivity and neighborhoods while supporting new jobs in the United States. The legislation incentivizes investment in the upgrades through public-private partnerships.
