MARYLAND MODIFYING MASK MANDATE

Maryland is modifying its mask mandate.  Governor Larry Hogan says effective immediately, Marylanders no longer need to wear masks or face coverings outdoors as stipulated by the latest CDC guidance.  The governor says those who are unvaccinated are “strongly encouraged” to keep wearing masks, especially when social distancing is not possible.  Hogan also announced as of Saturday, all restrictions on outdoor dining in Maryland will be lifted.  However, indoor dining restrictions will remain in place.  He noted nearly 85-percent of Marylanders 65 and older have been vaccinated and over 60-percent of residents 18 and up have received shots.
