The Allegany County Health Department will hold a walk-in COVID vaccination clinic on Friday, May 7th at the Allegany County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. Residents, 18 or older, can come to the Multipurpose Building to get the vaccine, with no appointment needed. As of Tuesday, there were 23 new COVID cases in the county, with one additional death. The positivity rate in the county is 3.19 per cent; the state is at 3.89 per cent. Approximately 23.5 per cent of the county has been fully vaccinated.
