CABINS MAN ADMITS TO DRUG DISTRIBUTION CHARGE

Cabins, West Virginia resident Peter Sanford Layne has pleaded guilty to a count of distribution of methamphetamine in Grant County, and faces up to 20 years in prison, and a fine of up to a million dollars. The distribution took place in Grant County in January of 2019. Several regional law enforcement agencies, all part of the Potomac Highlands Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force investigated. They include the Mineral, Hampshire, and Grant County Sheriff’s Office and the Keyser Police Department.
