An $802,000 federal grant will help the town of Luke replace outdated water lines. It had previously received water and sewer services from the former Luke paper mill, and much of the aging water and sewer lines were interconnected to the mill. When the mill closed in 2019, the Verso Company announced it would be getting out of the water supply business, as it has continued to work to find a buyer for the mill.
