MARYLAND RECORDS JUST OVER 1,000 NEW COVID CASES

Maryland has recorded just over one-thousand new cases of COVID-19, bringing the number of confirmed cases to more than 445,000 since the start of the pandemic.  There have been 20 additional fatalities related to the virus, for a death toll of more than 8500.  The Maryland Department of Health says there are nearly 11-hundred patients in the hospital and 272 are in intensive care. The seven-day positivity rate is just below four-percent.  The state has administered more almost four-point-five-million doses of the coronavirus vaccine, and more than one-point-nine-million residents are fully vaccinated.
