MARYLAND SEES RISE IN OVERDOSE DEATHS

Maryland is seeing a rise in overdose deaths and the pandemic may be to blame.  More than 27-hundred people died from drug and alcohol overdoses in Maryland last year.  That is a record for overdose deaths in the state and a rise of nearly 20-percent.  Nationwide, a record number of people died from overdoses during the pandemic, the most since the opioid epidemic started in the 90s.
