An 80,000 pound steel object, falling from a tractor trailer yesterday, snarled traffic on I-68, in the area of exit 43-A yesterday. Traffic was reduced to one-lane at the time, and that will remain in effect into this afternoon, until resurfacing of the roadway can be completed by the Maryland Department of Transportation. The Cumberland Police Department and MDOT will remain on the scene, until all lanes of the interstate are operational.
