VACCINATION LOCATION MOVING TO COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS

The Allegany County Health Department is moving its main COVID-19 vaccination location from Rawlings to the Allegany County Fairgrounds. The clinics will be held in the Multipurpose Building, while COVID testing will be done as a drive-thru at the adjacent pavilion. A walk-in clinic will be held at the fairgrounds on Friday, May 7th from 9 to noon and 1 top 3 p.m. Both the Moderna and J&J vaccines will be available. As of Sunday, there are 31 new COVID cases in the county, and zero additional deaths. The county positivity rate has now surpassed the state at 4.32 per cent. Maryland’s rate is 3.69 per cent.
