The fire that claimed the life of a 25-year-old LaVale man Monday morning remains under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office. He was located by firefighters, after they learned someone had possibly been trapped inside the building at 1104 Simpson Avenue. Identification and cause of death are pending an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
