MARYLAND RECORDS 520 NEW COVID CASES

Maryland has recorded 520 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the number of confirmed cases to more than 449,000 since the start of the pandemic. There have been 20 additional fatalities related to the virus, for a death toll of more than 8600. The Maryland Department of Health says there are 953 patients in the hospital and 265 are in intensive care. The seven-day positivity rate is three-point-69-percent.  To date, the state has administered nearly five-million doses of coronavirus vaccine, and more than two-point-one-million residents are fully vaccinated.
