FAMILY OF WOMAN KILLED IN CAPITOL RIOT TO SUE POLICE

The family of a woman killed during the January 6th Capitol riot plans to sue the Capitol Police Department for wrongful death.  Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt was shot by a Capitol Police officer while trying to climb through a broken window outside the House Chamber.  The Justice Department says it didn’t find enough evidence to charge the officer.  However, Babbitt’s family claims she was murdered.  Attorney Terry Roberts says police could have arrested Babbitt if they wanted and compared her to protesters who took to the streets after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody.
