JOBLESS CLAIMS RISE SLIGHTLY IN MARYLAND

New jobless claims are up slightly in Maryland.  State labor officials say first-time claims for unemployment assistance rose by 115 last week, to just over eleven-thousand-600.  Around 4700 of the new claims were pandemic-related.  More than one-point-eight-million applications for jobless benefits have been filed in Maryland since March of last year.
