POLICE DEPARTMENT SETS DATES FOR SUMMER YOUTH CAMP

The Cumberland Police Department’s Summer Youth Camp will take place Monday, June 14th through Friday, June 18th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The camp will be held at the Salvation Army building on Somerville Avenue. The camp is held in cooperation with the Salvation Army, as well as many local businesses. The camp is for Allegany County students entering the sixth, seventh, or eighth grades for the coming school year. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Applications can be picked up at the Police Department, any Allegany County middle and elementary school, or by calling (301)-759-6476. All applications must be received by Friday, May 28th, and are on a first come, first served basis. Completed applications and a $25.00 camp fee should be dropped off at the Cumberland City Police Department at the Public Safety Building at 20 Bedford Street.
