SOMERSET COUNTY DOMESTIC INCIDENT ENDS PEACEFULLY

The Pennsylvania State Police say a domestic incident was peacefully resolved yesterday morning. It took place at a home on Reading Mine Road in Stoystown. A call was received around midnight from a woman who said a man in the home was suffering from mental health issues, and police believed she was being held against her will; they later clarified that was not the case. Weapons were reportedly inside the house. The man was eventually convinced to come outside after several hours. He is being evaluated by behavioral health officials.
