The city of Cumberland is set to receive $20 million, as part of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The county, as a whole, will receive a total of $44 million. The city of Frostburg is slated to receive $7.1 million; Westernport, $1.4 million; Lonaconing $925,000; Barton, $354,000; Midland, $346,000; and Luke, $50,000. Garrett County is set to receive a total of $11.3 million. The money will be released in two equal portions, with the first installment expected by the end of next month, and the second, next year.
