HOGAN TO SIGN OVER 200 BILLS TODAY

Governor Larry Hogan plans to sign 222 bills passed by the Maryland General Assembly today.  Among them is a repeal of the state song.  Lawmakers voted to ditch “Maryland, My Maryland” as the state song due to its pro-Confederacy lyrics.  Hogan is also set to sign a bill allowing restaurants to continue selling carry-out alcohol.  The measure extends a change that went into effect last year to help struggling bars and restaurants stay afloat during the pandemic.
