Former Cumberland resident Eddy Blizzard, who now lives in Perry Hall, Maryland, has been charged with the embezzlement of more than a million dollars from a client’s retirement account. Blizzard is accused of posing as an independent financial consultant; the victim gave Blizzard up to 20 signed blank checks. The fraud was discovered when the victim tried to withdraw money from his account, and was told there were insufficient funds in it. The criminal complaint against Blizzard was filed on April 14th.
