Rawlings resident Daniel Alan Lancaster was arrested by Allegany County Sheriff’s deputies on Monday. The deputies were on routine patrol, when they spotted a man, seemingly unconscious in a parked vehicle off of Maryland Avenue in Westernport. They also saw a silver-colored gun in his hand. Lancaster was searched and was charged with possession of a loaded firearm, CDS-not marijuana, and CDS paraphernalia. According to court records, Lancaster was released on his own recognizance, pending trial.
