GIRL, STRUCK BY CAR THURSDAY, DIES SATURDAY IN PITTSBURGH

Twelve-year-old Karleigh Adams, who was struck by a car Thursday on Route 36, died of her injuries Saturday, at UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was initially treated at UPMC-Western Maryland, before being flown to Pittsburgh. She was struck as she was crossing the roadway to a dance studio on the opposite side of the roadway. The driver, Kathleen Beal of Meyersdale, Pennsylvania, remained at the scene of the accident. Karleigh Adams was a seventh-grade student at Calvary Christian Academy.
