MARYLAND ADDS 3800 JOBS; UNEMPLOYMENT STEADY

New figures show Maryland continues to recover from the economic effects of the pandemic.  The state labor department says Maryland added 3800 jobs last month, marking the 12th consecutive month of job growth.  Overall, the state has added more than 27-thousand jobs so far this year, with the Leisure and Hospitality sector experiencing the most growth with an increase of 2400 jobs.  Maryland’s unemployment rate held steady in April at 6.2 per cent.
