A hedge fund will become the second-largest newspaper owner in the U.S. That’s after Alden Global Capital’s deal to buy newspapers including the Chicago Tribune was approved by shareholders of Tribune Publishing. It’s valued at 633-million dollars. Among the newspapers being added to Alden Global’s portfolio include the Baltimore Sun, Orlando Sentinel, and New York Daily News.
