A death investigation has turned into a murder investigation in Bedford County, as a suspect has been arrested in the death of 53-year-old Daren Lingenfelter of Claysburg Sunday morning. Twenty-four-year-old Alec Rhoads has been arrested in relation to the incident. Lingenfelter was struck with an arrow, discharged from a crossbow in Liberty Township about 10:30 a.m. Sunday. He was pronounced dead by the Bedford County Coroner. Rhoads is being charged with first and third-degree murder and criminal homicide, along with assault charges.
