FORMER ATTORNEY GENERAL RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR

A former state Attorney General says he’s running for Governor.  Doug Gansler tweeted the news yesterday morning.  Gansler says he’s in the race to work on major changes to help Marylanders to face and overcome what he calls “tremendous challenges.”  He joins a field of fellow Democrats who already tossed their hats into the ring including State Comptroller Peter Franchot, former Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker, Montgomery County politician John Baron among several others. Maryland’s Republican Secretary of Commerce Kelly Schultz is also in the running.
