SOME MARYLANDERS LEFT OUT OF VAX CASH LOTTERY

Some Marylanders are being left out of the state’s new VaxCash lottery.  Residents 18 and older who have received a vaccination in Maryland at any time are eligible to win.  However, Marylanders who were vaccinated at federal facilities are not eligible because the lottery says the federal government is not sharing their names with the state health department.  Residents vaccinated out of state are also ineligible.  In an effort to encourage people to get vaccinated, the lottery is awarding 40-thousand-dollar daily prizes, and a 400-thousand-dollar grand prize on the Fourth of July.
