CORONAVIRUS METRICS CONTINUE TO IMPROVE

Maryland’s coronavirus metrics continue to show improvement. On Friday, the Health Department reported fewer than 250 new cases of the virus. There are 397 people hospitalized which is down by two over the previous day and about 100 patients are in intensive care. There have been 12 additional deaths related to the virus.  The state’s seven-day test positivity rate has dropped to 1-point-7-3-percent.  The state has now administered more than six-million-doses of coronavirus vaccine and more than 2-point-8-million residents are fully vaccinated.
