MARYLAND RECEIVES NEARLY $800,000 FOR MENTAL HEALTH TRAINING

Maryland Congressional delegation has announced nearly 800-thousand-dollars in federal funding to support mental health training in the state.  The money from the American Rescue Plan will help the public health workforce and higher education institutions meet the increased demand for mental health services brought on by the pandemic. The funding is being awarded to the University of Maryland, Baltimore; Hood College in Frederick and the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore.
