SIX NEW COVID CASES, TWO ADDITIONAL DEATHS

There have been six new COVID-19 cases in Allegany County since late last week, with two additional COVID-19-related deaths reported. The county’s positivity rate is now at 2.88 per cent, with the state reporting 1.73 per cent. There are two walk-in COVID clinics scheduled for this week. One will be held tomorrow at the Good Will Fire Company Armory in Lonaconing, and a second, at the Mount Savage Fire Company on Thursday. Both will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. Nearly 36 per cent of county residents have received at least the first dose of a two-dose vaccine, while just over 31 per cent of the population is fully vaccinated.
