UNEMPLOYMENT SYSTEM IN PA. UNDERGOING CHANGES

Pennsylvania’s unemployment system is currently undergoing changes, which may impact services. Earlier in May, the Department of Labor and Industry announced that the system would be shutdown from May 30th though June 7th while it upgrades. Officials say between this time, Pennsylvanians cannot file any new unemployment claims. The phone and email system will still be running through this time. The new unemployment compensation system is going live on June 8th.
