FBI AGENT CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER

An FBI agent is being charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting on a Metro Red Line train last year.  Eduardo Valdivia is also charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and use of a handgun in a felony for the shooting.  Valdivia allegedly shot a man aboard a train after a “verbal exchange.”  Reports say the agent “discharged his weapon several times,” which left the victim with multiple gunshot wounds.  Valdivia’s attorney released a 70-page statement defending his actions during the incident.
