According to a news release from the Chamber, business owners are observing troubling challenges with unemployment benefits, as this has proven to negatively affect economic growth and recovery. Information from both the U.S. and Maryland Chambers of Commerce indicate staggering job openings across the country, state, and local communities in Allegany County. The Maryland Department of Labor and American Job Centers have posted a wide variety of tools for job seekers. The Chamber also urges job seekers to use internet search engines for employment, or locally ACT Personnel services for available opportunities.
