Maryland State Police will undergo a virtual site-based assessment next week. The goal of this will be to review all of the procedures, operations, administration and support services within the department. It’ll be conducted by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc., and this is the second reaccreditation assessment since 2014. State Police have to comply with 459 standards to gain their accredited status. Community members are invited to provide comments during a public information session on June 15th.
