NINETEEN SUBPOENAED FOR HEARING IN BEDFORD

Nineteen people have been subpoenaed to testify in today’s preliminary hearing for Schellsburg resident Terry Myers, who is accused of shooting a Wisconsin civil rights activist last summer during a March through Bedford. Myers faces numerous counts of assault and reckless endangerment, stemming from the shooting of Orsino Thurman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Orsino returned fire, but missed Myers. Thurman has yet to be arraigned. Myers’ attorney is claiming the marchers were trespassing and Myers fired in self-defense.
