ALLEGED DRUG GANG LEADER DEAD FOLLOWING BARRICADE

The alleged leader of Baltimore’s Triple-C drug gang is dead following a Tuesday afternoon standoff and shootout with police in Sandy Springs, Georgia.  Thirty-nine-year-old Gary Creek was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound as U.S. Marshals moved to arrest him.  Three hostages were released safely and no law enforcement officers or bystanders were injured. Creek was supposed to surrender to authorities last week as part of a federal indictment, but he fled the state.  He was one of the suspected gang members charged in a drug distribution and racketeering conspiracy that includes 18 murders.
