A felony aggravated assault charge against Bedford County resident Terry Myers has been tossed, but he will still be tried on several misdemeanor charges. In fact, most of the charges against Myers in connection with the shooting of Orsino Thurman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin were dismissed. Yesterday’s preliminary hearing, which lasted five hours, addressed charges of reckless endangerment and harassment. Thurman must also stand trial on charges of simple assault and reckless endangerment; he had fired back at Myers, missing him. Thurman did not appear at yesterday’s hearing.
