Carter Bank and Trust is calling the allegations against them false, and they say they intend to collect from Governor Jim Justice’s family businesses. The battle continues over a 368-million-dollar loan that is personally guaranteed by the governor. Carter Bank says they are entitled to the money they are owed, despite the loose lending relationship Jim Justice had with Virginia banker Worth Carter, prior to his death in 2017.
