Allegany County is reporting seven new COVID-19 cases since last week, with one additional death. While the state positivity rate is under one per cent, the county rate is at 1.44 per cent. There are two walk-in vaccination clinics, scheduled for this week. The first is tomorrow at the Health Department offices on Willowbrook Road from 1 to 4 p.m. The Moderna vaccine will be available. And, a walk-in clinic will be held on Wednesday from 9 to noon at the Potomac Fire Company on Main Street in Westernport. Both the Moderna and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be administered. Nearly one-third of the county’s population has now been fully vaccinated.
