Thirty-eight-year-old Berlin resident Gary Wright is facing charges of rape and kidnapping, following an incident last weekend at a camper in Somerset County. The victim said she had posted on Snapchat she needed a ride from Cumberland to Morgantown; Wright allegedly assaulted her after offering to give her a ride to West Virginia. She was found at an Elk Lick Township residence and taken to UPMC-Somerset for treatment. Wright is currently jailed at the Somerset County prison on $250,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 24th.
